How do I calculate how many roofing sheets I need?
Roof length divided by the effective cover width, times the number of rows down the slope. Effective cover width is narrower than the sheet, because sheets overlap.
The estimator asks for cover width as an input rather than assuming a profile, and shows the row and column count it used.
What is effective cover width?
The width each sheet actually covers once laid, after the overlap. It comes from the profile specification. Measuring a loose sheet gives the overall width, which is larger and will make you order too few.
Can sheets be supplied cut lengths?
